    Postdoctoral researcher (m/f)

    The Research Group of In Vitro Toxicology and Dermato-Cosmetology at the Department of Pharmaceutical and Pharmacological Sciences of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) is looking for a motivated postdoctoral researcher (m/f) to support its experimental research in the context of a recently granted Interdisciplinary Research Program wth the two other VUB Research Groups (WISE and LSTS).

    Job description

    * You will be involved in an innovative interdisciplinary research project focused on the establishment of non-animal based, human relevant strategies to assess repeated dose liver
    * You will perform (stem) cell cultivation experiments, molecular biology analyses and make use of and develop, in collaboration with computer scientists (WISE), new computational approaches to gather and maintain toxicity data, in collaboration with a PhD student.
    * You will collaborate with researchers from the legal domain (LSTS) to ensure that the developed strategies are in line with legal regulations and ethical concerns.
    * Your scientific work should result in several manuscripts published in international peer-reviewed journals.
    * You will be involved in project management and dissemination activities, and thus frequently interact with the different partners.
    * You will be involved in setting up an interdisciplinary training program related to the proposed research project.
    * You will assist in the supervision of PhD students and master students.
    * You will participate in writing grant proposals.
    * You will assist in the organization of practical courses for students in bachelor and master in pharmaceutical sciences.
  • Qualifikationen:

    Profile
    * You have a doctoral degree in pharmaceutical sciences, (bio)medical sciences, bioengineering sciences or equivalent.
    * You have a master degree in pharmaceutical sciences, (bio)medical sciences, bioengineering sciences or equivalent.
    * You have good computer skills.
    * You are a dynamic and flexible person.
    * You are able to work independently, yet as a team member, and accurately.
    * You have excellent presentation and communication skills both written and oral.
    * You have a good knowledge of the English language both written and oral.

    * A yearly renewable contract as a full-time postdoctoral researcher at the VUB for 3 years.
