    Cosmetics Europe is the European trade association for the cosmetics and personal care industry. Our members include cosmetics and personal manufacturers, and also associations representing our industry at the national level, right across Europe.

    Cosmetics Europe has an immediate opening for:

    A Senior Science Programme Manager

    Main responsibilities are the following:

    * Acts as the deputy head of the department
    * Co-leads the development of a new global science programme for the industry
    * Takes part and acts as the secretary of the industry's body for the new programme
    * Manages industry expert group(s) and provide technical and strategic support to reach their objectives;
    * Contributing to the preparation of projects in the assigned areas (tbd);
    * Driving projects and activities to delivery;
    * Acting as industry's focal point for selected researchers and service providers during contract negotiations and running of the projects;
    * Initiating, monitoring and reporting on the progress of the research projects using a project management system with the support of the project assistant;
    * Lead the design and organise educational courses to promote the use of alternative approaches for the safety assessment of cosmetic ingredients and products;
    * Co-ordinating with sister organisation (cosmetics industry associations) in other geographies the effective use of training materials for educational courses on alternative methods to internal stakeholders (member companies & their service providers);
    * Contributing to the preparation of workshops, papers, oral presentations and posters in scientific

  • Qualifikationen:

    Professional qualifications required:
    * University education in toxicology, biochemistry, biology, chemistry or related scientific discipline - PhD level;
    * Affinity with the field of Alternatives to Animal testing % Safety assessment;
    * 8-10 years of professional experience;
    * Good organizational and communication skills are essential;
    * Sound experience in scientific project management;
    * Feels comfortable working in a complex environment;
    * Experience in a leadership role;
    * Has proven people management skills;
    * Fluency in spoken and written English (working knowledge of other EU languages would be an advantage);
