    What you can expect
    In our unit Short-term Toxicology we investigate the effects of substances at the entry points of the body and at molecular targets as well as the uptake of substances into the body, their metabolism and excretion.

    o As a master student you will work on a project to detect and characterize gene mutations in mammalian cells induced by test substances or their metabolites.
    o Therefore, you will use PCR and sequencing techniques in order to characterize gene mutations.
    o You will work in a motivated project team, consisting of skilled lab technicians and lead by an experienced toxicologist.

  • Qualifications:


    What we expect
    o You are at the final stage of your studies in life sciences with the focus on molecular-, micro- or cell-biology.
    o Ideally, you already gained knowledge in toxicology or show strong interest.
    o Apart from using the standard IT programmes on a daily basis, you enjoy communicating with your colleagues in English and/or German.
    o On a personal level you enjoy understanding complex matters as well as taking initiative to develop new and innovative approaches.
