New: Course events at CAAT Academy Featured

With the aim to promote the implementation of new approaches as a replacement to animal experiments, the Center for Alternatives to Animal Testing (CAAT) at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore and CAAT-Europe at the University of Constance have launched a training course program.

The sessions of the practical, one and two-day training courses are led by specialists in the respective areas. The events take place in different European countries.

The prelude of the CAAT constists of three events on the following topics:

1. "in silico modeling and tools under REACH"
When: May 20, 2016
Venue: Institute of Life Sciences in Cluj Napoca, Romania
Organizer: CAAT at Johns Hopkins University and CAAT-Europe (University of Konstanz), in cooperation with the Romanian Center for Alternative Test Methods (ROCAM)
Leader: Dr. Barry Hardy (Douglas Connect GmbH, Switzerland), Prof. Marc Cronin (Liverpool John Moores University (UK) and Head of the EU project COSMOS) and Dr. Monica Locatelli (REACH mastery, Italy).

2. "Animal-free pyrogenicity and endotoxin testing under the new EU pharmacopeia chapter 5.1.10"

3. "Hepatotoxicity Testing based on Adverse Outcome Pathways", two-day course
When: 23 - June 24 2016
