Berlin: 6th SummerSchool of the BB3R Featured

For the 6th time, the Berlin-Brandenburg 3R Platform (BB3R) is organizing a graduate college (summer school). Under the heading "Ethical and legal aspects and 3R approaches", doctoral students, postdocs and interested scientists are invited to participate.

Highlights include a presentation by Dr. Philipp Schwedhelm from the Federal Institute for Risk Assessment, Department of Experimental Toxicology and ZEBET on a meta-analysis of non-technical project summaries, which offers perspectives for 3R research. Perspectives for the co-chairing commissions according to § 15 of the German Animal Welfare Act and for the future work of animal welfare officers will also be discussed, as well as for example the HUMIMIC platforms from TissUse and the 3D-printed lung infection models from Prof. Jens Kurreck from the TU Berlin.

These and much other information on the subject of replacement, reduction, and refinement of animal experiments can be found in the BB3R programme.

Participation is free, but the number of participants is limited.

The closing date for registration is March 5, 2020.
