Gastroloid: researchers have designed model of early human development Featured

A British-Dutch research team has developed a new model of human embryonic stem cells (gastroloid) to study an early stage of human development.

The model resembles some key elements of an embryo about 18-21 days old. It enables the researchers around Professor A. Martinez Arias of the University of Cambridge to observe the processes involved in the development of the human body plan and which have never been observed directly before.
