In the future, applicants for animal experiments, but also approval authorities, should be able to access the data easily. This is the only way to prevent animal experiments from taking place even though suitable alternatives may already exist, but these are not known or are not recognized as suitable.

Federal Government supports a National Platform for Replacement Methods to Animal Experiment with 3 Million Euros Featured
To date, there is no standardized database for replacement methods that provides an overview of all methods, research results and application purposes. This is now changing - the federal government is funding the conceptual development of such a database in a first step until 2021 with 3 million euros.
