United States: Bipartisan bill to end cosmetics testing on animals introduced Featured

Together, Republican and Democratic representatives have reintroduced the so-called Humane Cosmetics Act in the Senate. The bill would end the testing of cosmetic products on animals and ban the sale of products developed through animal testing throughout the United States.

So far, eight individual states have passed the Humane Cosmetics Act. It is intended to require cosmetic companies to ensure the safety of their products without testing on animals.

With the passage of the Humane Cosmetics Act, the United States would be joining 41 countries that have already passed laws to end the unnecessary use of animals in cosmetics testing.
