Testing without animal experiments: Science4Life awards start-up from Düsseldorf Featured

DNTOX, a spin-off of the Leibniz Institute for Environmental Medicine Research, Düsseldorf, was awarded as one of the best business concepts in 2022 in the Science4Life business competition.


DNTOX offers a currently unique, animal-free analysis of chemicals. It uses the neurosphere assay developed by Prof. Ellen Fritsche, which is a cost-effective alternative to resource-intensive and ethically controversial animal testing in the field of developmental neurotoxicity (DNT).
