Nominations can be made by individuals, animal protection associations, non-governmental organizations, foundations, research and teaching institutions and all other actors who have made a special contribution in the field of "Alternative Methods to Animal Experiments".

The Lower Saxony Animal Welfare Research Prize is awarded in a different category each year.

The deadline for applications is August 31, 2022.
