Baden-Württemberg: 3R network expanded by three new 3R centers Featured

The Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts is funding three additional 3R centers in Baden-Württemberg.  The new institutions will primarily develop digital and AI-supported approaches. The Ministry is providing 750,000 euros over the next three years for this purpose.

The 3R centers will be established at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Furtwangen University and the University of Ulm. In Karlsruhe, for example, digital twins are to be developed for the development of health technologies. In Furtwangen, 3D tissue models are to be created in the laboratory and computer and transferred into practice. Ulm is focusing on the refinement of animal experiments in tumor and trauma research.

Start is in January 2025.
