AFSA Masterclass trains researchers in animal-free testing of cosmetics and chemicals Featured

The Animal-Free Safety Assessment Collaboration (AFSA) has designed an online masterclass. The curriculum leads participants step-by-step through ten animal-free tests using real-world case studies.

The course guides participants through all phases of “next generation risk assessment” through to advanced techniques such as data integration in order to obtain reliable consumer safety insights. The last of the ten modules is now open for registration.

The AFSA Masterclass is the result of in-kind contributions from the following member organizations: Avon Products Inc, Crème, Delphic HSE, DSM-Firmenich, Givaudan, Humane Society International, Institute for In Vitro Sciences, International Flavors & Fragrances, Inc, Lhasa Ltd, L'Oréal, Lush Fresh Handmade Cosmetics, Procter & Gamble, Symrise, Unilever.

Since its debut in 2023, the Masterclass has attracted more than 1,200 participants from almost 70 countries.
