Trump administration pursues new ban on animal testing at the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Featured

According to the Washington Times, Lee Zeldin, head of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), plans to revive a ban on animal testing at the Environmental Protection Agency.

Under President Trump's first term, the EPA signed a directive to prioritize efforts to reduce animal testing, pledging to reduce testing on mammals by 30% by 2025 and eliminate it entirely by 2035. However, the Biden administration erased the deadlines and neutered progress on these efforts.

Now, current environmental chief Zeldin wants to "put the agency back on track" to eliminate animal testing.
