Alongside ethical arguments, criticism of the use of animal experiments in research is primarily focused on the fact that results cannot be adequately transferred to humans. Well-known examples of this are the medicine pantoprazole or the monoclonal antibody TGN1412.

Bone could be regrown

American scientist have found that simply switching off one protein can encourage stem cells to start becoming bone. This could be an opportunity to develop a new therapeutic approach by activating new bone-forming cells in patients suffering from bone loss.
