Hier weiterlesen: http://www.invitrojobs.com/index.php/de.html 1. CURRENT: WORKING GROUP – A PORTRAIT: CENTER FOR ALTERNATIVES TO ANIMAL TESTING (CAAT) InvitroJobs presents scientists and their innovative research in a regular feature called “Working Group – a Portrait”. In the current issue we present Center for Alternatives to Animal Testing (CAAT). CAAT is coordinating the research in the field of replacement of animal testing which is proceed in toxicity testing. It bundles international research teams, brings them together to develop on common research objectives thus promoting the research progress. In order to achieve a better research coordination in Europa, CAAT-Europe was founded in 2009, headquartered at the University of Constance. In order to develop a new method for mapping the molecular biological toxicity path ways in human cells (human toxome project) CAAT founded a consortium together with its team from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in Baltimore as well as partners and scientists from industry and authorities. InVitroJobs interviewed Dr. Mardas Daneshian, CEO of CAAT-Europe... We are pleased to present your working group on our platform. SPECIES DIFFERENCES In vitro and in vivo intestinal metabolism studies are essential for clarifying pharmacokinetics in animal species and is used to predict the effects of human intestinal metabolism. The scientists review species differences in intestinal metabolism both in vitro and in vivo. They found differences in the isoforms of cytochrome P450 3A and uridine 5′-diphosphate (UDP) glucoronosyltranferase between humans, monkeys, rats, mice and dogs based on mRNA expression levels...
