The ECEAE (European Coalition to End Animal Experiments), an alliance of leading European animal protection and animal rights organisations has strongly condemned the statement posted by ECHA (European Chemicals Agency) about the interface between the animal tests testing and marketing bans in the Cosmetics Regulation and REACH (Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals).

On 22 October, the European Parliament recommended making no cuts to research and development funding and providing more funding instead. The European Council and the European Parliament must reach an agreement on a common EU draft budget for 2015 by November this year.
